Terms of Volunteering

Guidelines and expectations for our valued volunteers and mentors.

1. Commitment

By accepting a volunteer or mentor role with Mmari Impact Foundation, you agree to commit to the agreed-upon hours and responsibilities. Consistency is key to making a meaningful impact on our students' lives.

2. Code of Conduct

All volunteers receive the same respect and are expected to treat all staff, students, and fellow volunteers with dignity and respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind.

3. Confidentiality

During your volunteering, you may have access to confidential information regarding our students, programs, or internal operations. You agree to keep such information strictly confidential and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent.

4. Child Protection

The safety and well-being of our beneficiaries are paramount. All volunteers interacting with minors must adhere to our Child Protection Policy, which includes maintaining appropriate boundaries and reporting any concerns immediately to the designated safeguard officer.

5. Intellectual Property

Any content, curriculum, or materials created by you specifically for Mmari Impact Foundation during your volunteer term will be considered the property of the Foundation, to ensure we can continue to use them to benefit future students.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate the volunteer agreement at any time. We reserve the right to dismiss any volunteer who violates our Code of Conduct or policies.

7. Liability

You agree to indemnify and hold Mmari Impact Foundation harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your volunteer activities, except where such liability is mandated by law.
